Looking at the period from the Celts and Romans to the

Britain.
In English we will be studying the following books – ‘Here come
the Aliens!’ and ‘Man on the moon’ as well as a film study of
‘Madagascar’.
We will also take trips to Crofton Roman Villa, the British
Museum and London Zoo to enhance our historical
understanding and science investigations into ‘Animals,
including humans’.

Spring Term
“Power”
Looking at power from a number of different angles. We will
investigate electricity generation and their environmental issues. We
will also look at the power of one commodity (e.g. chocolate) over an
area and people. For this we will study the book ‘Charlie and the
chocolate factory’.
In History we will explore the power of the Tudor Monarchs and their
influence on British life. We will visit ‘The Golden Hinde’ to experience
a day as a sailor, as well as visiting Southwark Cathedral to learn
about the lives of monks.
