Transcript We only believe in one God named Allah. We believe in Angels. Us
Islam is a monotheistic religion, which
means it’s a religion with only one God named
Allah. It shares beliefs with Christianity and
Judaism because all three religions believe in
one god and because the three religions all
follow Father Abraham and Adam.
We only believe in one God named Allah.
We believe in Angels.
Us Muslims believe in the holy books that
were sent to prophets.
We believe in prophets that were sent by
god such as Noah, Abraham, Ishmael.
We believe that there is always life after
death.
We think that nothing can happen
without God’s permission.
Allah: Allah is the Arabic word for God. He is worshiped by
people of all faiths meaning that people of all religions
worship Allah. We prefer to call God Allah because the name
is neither feminine nor masculine. Did you know that you
can’t pluralize Allah’s name?
Muhammad:
Us Muslims pray 5 times daily. Our church is called a Mosque. Mosques
are very elaborate, which means it is very detailed, with large and simple
structures. Most Mosques have these large common features:
- Sahn: It’s a courtyard surrounded by arcades called rigwags. There are
fountains of water inside that symbolize purity. Worshippers can bathe
before entering the mosque.
