• The geography of Thailand is exciting. Thailand
is 514,000 sq km.
• slightly twice the size of Wyoming.
• Thailand’s weather is rainy, tropical, and warm.
• The terrain in Thailand is mountainous.

• Tom tam-(a salty, spicy,
lemon flavored soup)
• Satay-(BBQ meat on a

The people in Thailand have three New Years.
One is the International New Year,
Chinese New Year,
Thailand New Year called SongKhsan in April
Language
• They speak Thailand and use different tones of
voice.
• Different tones mean different things.
• There are mid, low, high and falling tones.
Schools
• They start at 5 years old and attend for 9 years.
• They always wear uniforms, usually a white shirt
and dark colored shorts, for boys, and skirts for
girls.
• Both have to have short hair.
Games and Sports
• Takraw is a kind of volleyball but they don’t use
their hands, only their feet and sometimes their
heads.
• Kickboxing started in Thailand with no gloves.
Religion
• 95% are Buddhist
• 4% are Muslim
• 1% are Christian
