vs products that PG is working on
• What is link between PG and AWG?
• AWIPS-II – CIs need to become recognized as official
developers (similar to OAR/GSD, NWS/OHD)
• PG interaction with NWS operations
– Need to have a liaison located at WFO or NCEP Center (like done
now at SPC)
– Could cover multiple WFOs
• Liaison associated with CIRA could reside in Boulder or Cheyenne
WFO and also spend time in surrounding WFOs (Pueblo, Grand
Junction, Salt Lake City)
• Liaison associated with CIMSS could reside in Milwaukee WFO and
also spend time in surrounding WFOs (LaCrosse, Chicago, Green Bay)
• Liaison associated with SPoRT (at Huntsville WFO) could also spend
time in surrounding WFOs (Mobile, Jackson, Birmingham, Nashville,
Peachtree City)
• Liaison with NHC (associated with CIRA) could also spend time in FL
