EPIDEMIOLOGIC DEFINITIONS
• PANDEMIC - When a disease causing
serious illness spreads around the world
and affects a large amount of people.
• EPIDEMIC – spreads rapidly and
extensively within a given area
• ENDEMIC – prevalent to a particular
locality or people

of symptoms, generalize aches and pain,
generally feel worse than a cold, see your

could be treated with Tamiflu or Relenza,
reducing severity of flu
