 The WREQC had 46 water quality sites for 9
years now we are down to 21 core water
quality monitoring sites.
 We use a YSI monitoring equipment to
collect 10 chemical parameters and a Son
Tek Flow Tracker for flow measurements
(cfs)

Macroinvertebrates Program
 The WREQC 106 program started the
Macroinvertebrates collection in 2002, and
collected macros at all 46 sampling sites
with QAQC at 10% of these sites.
 The 106 program has also collected
macroinvertebrates at various NDPES and
Alpine sites

 The WREQC Water Quality program works
with the Wyoming Indian School District and

 The WREQC participates in numerous onsight inspections with the BIA, BLM, the
Shoshone Oil & Gas Commission, and the

Reservation.

Non-Point Source, Basin Advisory Group,
NPDES/WQS, TMDL Workgroup

NPDES Program
 The Wind River Reservation has 34 federal
NPDES permits and 4 State permits for a
total of 38 NPDES permits.
 Completed downstream water quality
assessments below the Reservation NPDES
oil and gas discharges in 2005.
