Breast Cancer Stats
About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive
breast cancer over the course of her lifetime.
For women in the U.S., breast cancer death rates are
higher than those for any other cancer, besides lung
cancer.
A woman’s risk of breast cancer nearly doubles if she has
a first-degree relative (mother, sister, daughter) who has
been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Testicular Cancer Stats
This year, an estimated 8,720 men in the United
States will be diagnosed with testicular cancer. The
average age of diagnosis is 33.
The 5-year survival rate tells you what percent of
men live at least 5 years after the cancer is found.
Percent means how many out of 100. The survival
rate is higher for men diagnosed with early-stage
cancer and lower for men with later-stage cancer.
For men with cancer that has not spread beyond
the testicles, the survival rate is 99%.
