Fast food outlets are take-away or take-out
providers, often with a "drive-through" service
that lets customers order and pick up food from
their cars, but most also have indoor or outdoor
seating areas where customers can eat on-site.
Nearly from its inception, fast food has been
designed to be eaten "on the go," often does not
require traditional cutlery, and is eaten as a
finger food. Common menu items at fast food
outlets include fish and chips, sandwiches, pitas,
hamburgers, fried chicken, french fries, onion
rings, chicken nuggets, tacos, pizza, hot dogs,
and ice cream, though many fast food
restaurants offer "slower" foods like chili, mashed
potatoes, and salads.
Convenience stores located within many
petrol/gas stations sell pre-packaged
sandwiches, doughnuts, and hot food.
Many gas stations in the United States and
Europe also sell frozen foods, and have
microwave ovens on the premises in which
to prepare them.
Outlets may be stands or
kiosks, which may provide
no shelter or seating,[1] or
fast food restaurants (also
known as quick service
restaurants). Franchise
operations that are part of
restaurant chains have
standardized foodstuffs
shipped to each restaurant
from central locations.[2]

Slow food is a global organization with supporters in 150 countries
around the world who are linking the pleasure of good food with a
commitment to their community and the environment.
Slow food was founded to counter the rise of fast food and fast life, the
disappearance of local food traditions and people’s decrease of interest
in the food they eat, where it comes from, how it tastes and how our
food choices affect the rest of the world.
Slow food unites the pleasure of food with responsibility, sustainability
and harmony with nature.

Petrini, slow food founder and
Italian teenegers know the rules of Healthy eating but don’t
respect them. They often forget to have breakfast or drink
tea or coffee. They are fans of snacks like crisps and
peanuts. Only 3 teenegers on 10 follow the rules of 5 meals
a day.
At lunch and dinner pasta and bread are the main courses.
Italian teenegers don’t eat a lot of legumes and fish but
there is a moderate use of fruit and vegetables.
Slow Food forsees a world in which all people can
access and enjoy food that is good for them, good for
those who grow it and good for the planet.
Our approach is based on a concept of food that is defined
by three interconnected principles: good, clean and fair.
GOOD: quality, flavorsome and healthy food
CLEAN: production that does not harm the environment
FAIR: accessible prices for consumers and fair conditions
for producers
Slow Food is an international movement founded by Carlo Petrini
in 1986. It began in Italy after a demonstration on the intended
site of a McDonald’s at Piazza di Spagna in Rome.
Studies have revealed this date: 9% of children skip breakfast , one
in four does not eat fruits and vegetables daily, soft drinks or
sweetened during the day.
It’s the high prevalence of overweight ( 23 % ) and obesity ( 11 %).
The favorite foods are fries , pizza, hamburgher, cakes
and fizzy drinks.

The main essence of the English kitchen is to
choose high-quality ingredients and cook them
so that their flavor is exalted to the maximum.
Britain still remains unsurpassed for the quality
of certain products such as Scottish salmon
and cheese. Puddings , pies are another
important aspect of this kitchen . In fact, a
classic daily menu usually includes a hot dish
that is usually a pudding or a pie..
