Using Technology in the Classroom

within the classroom

a “literacy”

expands beyond
Video Blogging in the

 One Example of
the new ways
technology is
being used in
the classroom is
the use of video
blogging.
Video Blogging in the Classroom
 Video blogging, also known as Vlogging, is a kind of blog, or online journal, using
videos instead of just plain text. Entries can contain embedded videos (from sites like
Youtube or Teachertube) and video links, as well as text and other images.
 Since Youtube was launched in 2005, video blogging has become increasingly popular,
especially among teens. Like basic blogging, video blogging is often used to provide
commentary on a particular subject or prompt readers for discussion. Readers can
leave comments in the reply/ respond/comment section.
