This is the camera we chose as our 4th choice

We have put the web camera last for quality
File Size
College video camera 30 seconds = 35 MB
Video phone = 9 MB
The difference between the size of the files is
because the resolution of the cameras are different the
35 MB is of much higher resolution gives better quality.

You choose your file format to use depending on size
of file and this informs the quality.
Video file applications
Different file formats because different cameras take different
size files e.g mobile phones, camcorders.
Each format uses their own codec for audio/video
Holiday video uses AVI which is high quality with good resolution.
Cable TV uses Mpeg “ compresses video via sky box.
Social Network MP4 needs smaller file size but maintains quality
CODEC is a blend of 2 words ‘coder-decoder’ it is a program which can
read or write stored coded or compressed files.

At college we use Adobe Premier Pro
In the home we use Windows Movie Maker
In a T.V. Station they use AVID



Most common was VHS Tape which was
analogue.
To convert to digital you need a Video
Capture Card.
This card converts Analogue into a digital file
in the computer.
