Adobe Flash Player is a cross-platform,
browser-based application runtime that
provides uncompromised viewing of
expressive applications, content, and videos
across browsers and operating systems.
Used to be known as Macromedia Flash
Also, Flash enhances websites to give it more
of an appealing look

Accessible in desktop operating systems such
as Windows, Mac OS 9/X & Linux
◦ This allows websites to play videos and games



Flash is provided on mobile devices such as
Android & BlackBerry
Many movies use Flash in order to create
special effects like in the movie Transformers,
or Harry Potter
Used in advertisements to effectively market
a product



live events as well as recorded events
Mainly used by MP3 industries because
devices that hold digital audio files on
internal flash memory or removable flash
media called memory cards
◦ Due to technological advances in flash memory,
devices now range up to having 64GB of memory

Most compatible with uncompressed audio
formats such as .WAV and .AIFF files, and
automatically compresses the audio to MP3
when you publish your movie or song



In conclusion, Adobe Flash has advanced in
performance and is recognized by all its users
