What is a web conference…..

A Web Conference (webinar or webbased seminar) is a presentation
and/or workshop that is shared over
the Web while participants listen to
audio through their telephone
(conference call and online
presentation all at once) OR audio
streamed through their computer.
What is a web conference….

Web conferences allow participants to
ask the presenter questions and get
answers in real time, as well as view
slideshows, explore websites, take
polls and review documents - a great
way to present trainings and skill
building sessions to SBHC staff
located across your state!
Web Conference

There are several types of web
conferences
● Inexpensive Conference
● PowerPoint slides with a conference call number
● Middle of the Road
● Using a “self service” web conference company
that allows one to have support when NEEDED
● Expensive Conference
● Using a full service web conference company
Web Conference Plan

Arrange the time for the presentation & send out a
“save the date” as early as possible

Secure presenter(s) and set a due date for
submission of the presentation

Create a “practice” date with the presenters to go
through the presentation BEFORE the actual
presentation day

Send out OR upload the powerpoint to presentation
BEFORE practice session


and distribute at the end of the session

