file size = 3 x 3” (at 150ppi)
Practice files DUE ON TUESDAY (at beginning of class!)
**We will take a few minutes in class on Tuesday to demonstrate how to
submit/turn in these in… so just have them ready in your stuhome folder
2 - Color on the Web / Worksheet:
Use links on today’s date in calendar to
complete the worksheet.
DUE Tuesday at beginning of class!
(if you don’t finish in class, it’s homework…)
Saving and prepping files for web:
1 - Flatten image > Layer > flatten
2 - Image > image size
Resolution should be 72 ppi for web!
3 - Save as (always keep your PSD files)
File > Save As
Format > jpg
name the file with no spaces or
special characters, lowercase
ex:
color_element.jpg
NOT this:
color element #1 .jpg
- Veggie Man Assignment - selections must be clean! (not “chunky”)
- use layers
- have fun! Be creative….
In Class Assignment #2:
• “Diary Page” Montage assignment (image size up to you,
but keep the resolution at 150ppi)
- must use - at least 6 images which relate to your
interests (photographs - beware of copyright)- must change opacity,
hue and transform images
- use layers and have
“good” selections
- use a layer mask or
clipping mask somewhere
