Have 63,000 prospects in the enrollment funnel each recruitment cycle
In 2002 had 7,737 applications - Fall 2007 have 10,244 applications
(32% increase in applications processed with same number of staff)
Enrollment has also grown substantially – in last decade WKU grew
28%
International enrollment up by 90% in last 5 years

The Internet is incredibly important Prior to 2004, prospect leads came predominately from
high school visits.
In 2006, web inquiries were our most prominent source of
prospect leads.
The percentage of prospects from web as primary source
continues to grow.

Although the importance of the Internet increases Many schools do not have a web person dedicated to web
Schools continue to hire admissions staff to visit high
schools

WKU has made shift from some high school admissions
counselors to e-Recruitment staff
Responsible for developing high tech - high touch
recruitment strategies
No travel but still covers the world
