• Covers books and other materials in

• Is available both on-campus and offcampus through OCLC FirstSearch

• Search WorldCat to find the materials
you need
• Fill out the online ILL form

Follow the first time user instruction
ILL usually takes a week or so

Searching tips
• Combine keyword and subject search
• Use synonyms and use OR to combine
all the synonyms
• Use “ “ when search a phrase
• Use * to truncate words with same root
(sleep* = sleep, sleeping, etc.)
• Start with a broad search and narrow
down your search results by adding
more specific topics
Keywords you can use for your
topics
• Sleep and “human beings”
• Sleep and “brain activities”
• Sleep* and aid* and children
Web evaluation
• Anybody who has a computer,
internet connection, and a web host

grader and above perhaps)
