prewritng and give students practice
using prewriting techniques including-webs, pictures, listing, and the like.

Examples:
Prompt: The starting

2. Correct spelling, punctuation, and
word use
3. How well the writer is able to
respond to the prompt
When you are writing to
a prompt read the
prompt very carefully.
You will want to read the prompt
more than one time.
