1. Teacher asks pre-listening questions on students’ family members. (3
minutes)
2. Teacher plays the song once. Explain the meaning of any difficult words.
(4 minutes)
3. Students listen to the song once, while filling in the gaps. (3 minutes)
4. Teacher checks to see if students have filled in the right words and plays
the song again. (4 minutes)
5. Students are asked to interview Daniel. (Pair work) (5 minutes)
6. Students write a paragraph about Daniel. (Group work). (8 minutes)
7. Students present their paragraphs to the class. (8 minutes)
Brief Introduction
• In this song, Daniel is going to Spain on a plane. He bids farewell to
his younger brother. His younger brother misses Daniel so much.
• Everybody says Spain is attractive. Daniel thinks Spain is the best
place in the world. He has been there many times. His younger brother
is not reluctant to part from him.
• Daniel has had a very bad experience. His eyes are blind. But his
younger brother thinks Daniel can see more than he. He thinks Daniel
is a star in the sky.
• Everybody wants Daniel to be a hero, but all he wants is to be left
alone. So he takes off for Spain to get away from it all. His younger
brother misses Daniel and would like him to come back home.
