• Use MS Developer Toolbar or Fiddler to
see what’s going over the wire
• Urls look like this

• This is a quad key algorithm that splits
a map into successive quadrants at 19
zoom levels

Roll Your Own Tile Server
• Build an HTTP handler that intercepts
tile requests
• Map quad keys to lat longs based on
Mercator projection
