• To darken a picture you use the “burn tool”.
• The selection tool that “clings to the edges” of
an image is the magnetic lasso.
• A color scheme that “pops” off the page is
Complimentary.
• Jerry Uelsmann’s style of photography is
“surrealism”.
• Contrast is controlled by: brightness &
darkness, curves, levels, or exposure

• Best time to get photos is early evening and
early morning.

• You can get colors from the web with the
eyedrop tool in Photoshop
• To reset the preferences in Photoshop hold
down command, option and shift and relaunch
the program.
• You use the Rule of Thirds to get a good
composition in photos.
