The Christmas
Baby
On the way to Bethlehem
Along the dusty road
A little donkey carries
A very special load
The night is falling quickly
There is no place to stay
Except a little stable
Filled with straw and hay
That night in the stable
I s born a baby boy
A very special child
Bringing happiness and joy
Outside the night is cold
The shepherds do not sleep
They sit high on the hillside
W atching over their sheep
High above some shepherds
The sky is filled with light
An angel comes to tell them
‘Your King is born tonight’
The shepherds find the stable
They kneel down in the hay
They give their lambs as gifts
To their King on Christmas Day
High above the stable
Shines a silver star
I ts light will help to guide
Three wise men from afar
The wise men have to follow
The shining star so bright
Until they reach the stable
On this very special night
Gold and many presents
Are gifts the wise men bring
They go into the stable
To see their new-born King
Now the baby is asleep
W ith straw beneath his head
A King born in stable
W ith a manger for his bed.
