Bluff
Bluff – game rules

 2 teams
 Question to team 1 – everyone who knows the answer or
thinks they know the answer stands…Someone from
team 2 calls on one of the standing players to answer the
question.
 If the question is answered correctly, team one wins the
number of points for the amount of people standing…If
the question is answered incorrectly or the person was
bluffing about really knowing the answer, team 2 earns
the points.
 Plays continues alternating teams.
Question 1

 In cats, long hair is recessive to short hair. A truebreeding short haired male is mated to a long-haired
female. What will their kittens look like?
 Give %, genotype and phenotype
Question 2

 Two cats are mated. One parent cat is long-haired.
The litter results contain two short-haired and two
long-haired kittens. What is the genotype, and what
does the other parent look like?
Question 3

 Mr. and Mrs. Jones have six children. Three of them
have attached earlobes (recessive) like their father,
and the other three have free earlobes like their
mother. What are the genotypes of Mr. and Mrs.
Jones and of their numerous offspring?
Question 4

 Yellow is dominant to orange. A heterozygous male
mates with a pure yellow female. What is the chance
this couple will produce an orange baby?
Question 5

 Purple is dominant to white. Two purple-eyed
aliens mate. Both aliens are hybrid for the eye color
trait. What is the chance this couple will produce a
baby with a homozygous recessive genotype?
Question 6

 3 body rings is dominant to 5. A heterozygous
female with 3 body rings mates with a 5-ringed male.
What is the chance that this couple will have a baby
that looks like its mother?
Question 7

 Yellow is dominant to orange. A purebred male
alien displaying the dominant body color mates with
a female that is homozygous recessive for this
characteristic. What is the chance that this couple
will have a baby with a hybrid genotype?
Question 8

 2 antennae is dominant to 1. A male alien with 1
antenna mates with a female alien who has 2
antennae. The female is heterozygous for the
antenna trait. What is the chance that this couple will
produce a baby with the recessive phenotype?
Question 9

 Glasses needed is dominant to not worn. An alien
couple, both of which wear glasses, are having a
baby. The male’s genotype is heterozygous. The
female is phenotypically dominant but does carry
the recessive allele. What is the chance that this
couple’s baby will have to wear glasses?
Question 10

 3 body rings in dominant to 5. A 3-ringed female
mates with a homozygous male. The female has been
genetically tested and is carrying both the dominant
and the recessive allele for this trait. The male
displays the recessive phenotype. What is the chance
that this couple will have a genetically pure baby?
