Lecture presented at Jülich FZ on 12th January 2010

Motivation of the Talk:
The term 'soft matter' refers
roughly to materials that respond
readily even to modest stimuli. This
responsiveness motivates at present
a wide range of technologies, cf.

Objective:
To remind that soft-matter aggregations in their
(model amphiphilic, such as Langmuir-Blodgett, etc.)
forms cause system’s inhomogeneization that may be
assisted by either (i) internal- or (ii) externalfriction conditions encountered/applied, or both, (i)(ii), sometimes ...

Object of Interest:
Soft matter forms a multitude of mesoscopic
structures using its wealth of freedom degrees. By
applying external fields such as normal or shear
loads, electric fields, or guests’ inclusions, and the
likes, the mesostructures show up structural
transitions, which brings an appreciable change of
the physical properties.
