Referral to Treatment)
• 2013 Legislative Session
• Allows for courts to sentence defendants to
substance abuse treatment program.
• AAHSD - Contract with Probation and Parole to
conduct suitability evaluations and to provide
treatment, if ordered by the court.
• Expected to divert 500 offenders from prison per
year statewide.

• Addition of twice-weekly Outpatient
groups at Tyler
• Addition of Education Groups in New Iberia
