Hardcore Drunk Drivers (HCDD)
make up 34% of all DUI arrests
Defined as:
BAC above .15%
3 or more DUIs
Resistant to Change
75% are alcohol dependent
60% are drug dependent
In 2013, there were 1208 DUI-related fatalities in
PA. 60% were caused by HCDD.
