Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE)
IPPE 1 – Community:
▪ Two week rotation in December or January
▪ One half-day per week on-site in Spring Semester
IPPE 2 – Institutional:
▪ Two week rotation in December or January
▪ Experiences through service learning count towards hours in P1, P2, and P3 years

Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE)
 10 four-week rotations
 Required and elective



Utilize same rotational blocks as Butler and Purdue with
regard to start and end dates
Do not send students out in May
Do send students out in December




All rotations are Pass/No Pass
 Pass – “The student is proficient and consistently
performs at or above expectations”
 No Pass – “The student performs below
expectations consistently”
