What is it?
• Bulimia is binge eating followed by
purging.
• There are two categories: Purging
and Non-purging.
• Purging is vomiting, using laxatives,
and diuretics to get rid of food.
• Non-purging is extreme fasting and
dieting.
Who’s at risk?
• Females are more prone to develop Bulimia, and even more as teens
and young adults.
• Actors, Models, and Athletes are also at a higher risk.
What Causes Bulimia?
• No known cause is recorded for bulimia but there are several predispositions
for it.
• Mental health issues and bad perceptions of your self and what you think
people see.
• It could be hereditary.
• It could also be caused by a serotonin deficiency in the brain.
