Monthly NDTMS Data Cycle
• Treatment service explains purpose and confidential
treatment of NDTMS data (*see later session)
• Treatment service gets informed consent
• Enter treatment details on NDTMS compliant system e.g.
Data Entry Tool
• Extract NDTMS data and upload it to the Drug and
Alcohol Management System

Monthly NDTMS Data Cycle
• Check that there are no FATAL, ERROR or WARN messages
for the data file
• Treatment services fix any data quality issues and upload a
new data extract
• Submit data once 100% data quality is achieved on DAMS
by 7th of each month
• Regional NDTMS Centre loads data into DAMS and hands
over to NTA ~ 14th

supplementary data quality reports ~20th
