being the main cause in the US. In reference to NetDoctor
(2010), the normal indications for salmonella instoxication
are: loose bowel movement, costiveness, headaches, stomach
pains, queasiness, unsettled stomach, hyperthermia, and
probably blood in the stool. If the intoxication is minor, there
are lesser indications – usually loose bowel movements twice
or thrice daily for some days. The minor cases of salmonella
intoxication heals after 4 to 7 days even without medication
except for taking a break and drinking fluids (NetDoctor,
2010. p.3 ).
