IMPROVES WITH THE SINGLE WINDOW SYSTEM
It’s a system that through a Web Site, the obligated to report their emissions,
waste and/or transfers of pollutants, will access declaration systems of audit
institutions to comply with the reporting obligation of the emissions facilities and
generators.

PRTR AND ECONOMIC INSTRUMENTS: GREEN TAXES
In September 2014 Law No 20,780 was approved three new taxes were established:
i) A tax on CO2 emissions (5 USD/TON)
ii) A tax on local pollutants (SO2, NOx and PM); y
iii) A tax on the first sale of vehicles according to their urban performance and NOX emissions.
The first two taxable emissions of ‘Facilities' made up of boilers and turbines with a greater
than or equal to 50 MWt (megawatts thermal).
These taxes will be implemented in 2017.
Currently preparing its implementation, we are the regulations and developing a monitoring
/ measurement, recording and verification (MRV) of emissions for taxes pertaining to
establishments.
