Ever hear of wikiHow???
wikiHow is an free online process manual. It
provides instructions for any type of problem
one might come across in he or she’s daily life.
wikiHow currently has 25,686 articles on its
website. New articles are submitted everyday,
while older articles are improved
Submissions and improvements are provided by
volunteers. These volunteers can be anyone,
including you!
Interested in Contributing to
wikiHow???
There are many ways one can help
improve the wikiHow page:
Edit a page.
Add information to the early staged
submissions.
Spell check different articles.
Create a new page of a topic that has not yet
been covered.
No matter what you do to contribute, your are
helping out millions of people all across the
world.
Languages of wikiHow
wikiHow is currently only written in
English.
wikiHow will soon be available in the
languages of Spanish, German, French,
and Portuguese.
Volunteers can also help create the
wikiHow site in their own language, if it
is not one of the above.
Guidelines of wikiHow
If you should choose to
volunteer in submitting your
suggestions to the wikiHow
website, there are three
guidelines every user must
follow.

A civil group effort.

Everyone must be respectful of what other
users submit. Always be friendly and
positive when editing someone else’s work.
Name calling and other personal attacks will
not be tolerated.

Topics that include profanity, drug use, are
sexually explicit, jokes, criminal acts, or are
illegal will be prohibited.
Reverse logic, satire, and sarcasm will also
not be allowed.

Volunteers who submit articles that promote
a certain product, company, or their own
business will not be allowed.

wikiHow will always be free for users.
To survive financially, wikiHow does not ask for
contributions from its users, but uses
advertising on the website. However, this
advertising does not include pop up ads, pop
under ads, or spyware.
