Center interactive exhibits.
Part I
GCOOS web pages for boaters
Please visit:
http://gcoos.tamu.edu/products/maps/boaters110.html
The pages you see are the result of your work and the talent of Dr. Shin Kobara.
He incorporated our input from last year’s EOC meeting, along with feedback from
boaters and fishermen who participated in two GCOOS Stakeholder workshops.
You should see this when you log onto the site!

Team Assignments
•
IDENTIFY DATA SOURCES THAT CAN BE USED IN THE COASTAL ECOSYSTEM LEARNING
CENTER EXHIBITS. ID at least three data sources that support your team’s priority
issue. List both the url and the type of information that is provided.
•
E.g., url: http://gcoos.tamu.edu/products/section/bathymetry.html (GCOOS
bathymetry and shoreline data for the Gulf of Mexico)
•
Water Quality Team:
– Please email your results to John O’Connell by Monday, June 13
([email protected])
For Water Quality: The exhibit will be hosted at the Florida Aquarium and there is interest
to link to phosphate mining, HABs, hypoxia, reefs, other?
•
EIA Team:
– Please email your results to Joe Swaykos by Monday, June 13.
([email protected])
For EIA (which will be called Putting the Puzzle Pieces Together for exhibit purposes): The
exhibit will be hosted at the Texas State Aquarium and there is interest to link to sea grass
health, oysters, essential fish habitat, reefs, other?

Numerous links from the GCOOS Data Portal for physical parameters (Temp, salinity, pH, DO):

Nutrient and biological measurements are less abundant than physical data.
