Project Brief
To develop evidence based holistic and cost effective
strategies to help communities in contributing to reduce
the demand and consumption of alcohol and other
drugs.
1.
To offer reliable information about alcohol and drug
use to communities within the City of Cape Town
2. Render services in tiers 1, 2 & 5 of the City’s Seamless
Services Delivery model (New Financial Year)
3.
Partner with the Department of Health in establishing
8 Sub District Alcohol and Drug Action Committees
4. Offer input and secretariat support the 8 Sub District
Alcohol and Drug Action committees
5. Actively participate in the Cape Town Alcohol and Drug
Action Committee
6. Develop, encourage and support evidence based
prevention and harm reduction programmes
Establish SDF task team

Audit and assess all work
done in the field of alcohol
and drugs in 2009
Access to departments’ 6
monthly report gained
Facilitate drug & alcohol
abuse information
sessions across all districts
