preventing alcohol, tobacco and other drugs (ATOD)
use/abuse
• Emphasis on the power and importance of the
student-athlete point of view
• Provided education on ATOD and related
health/performance issues
• Speakers on topics including: Impact of ATOD on
performance, Drunk driving, Bystander intervention
and more
• Create customized action plan for NAU Athletics

• Create student-host training program for 201415 official and unofficial visits
• Create post-visit evaluation for PSAs to complete
• Work with NAU to gather social norms data
• Identify areas of education that can be improved
and initiate Poster Campaign for 2014-15
• Bring speaker(s) to campus in September 2014
and possibly again in January 2015

• Recruit additional members to our team
• Work on bringing action plan to life
• Hold March meeting with new team members
and discuss Recruitment (host training and
post-visit evaluation)
• Work with Health Promotions to begin
gathering social norm data to spearhead Poster
