As she sat before you nervous … dumb….

And maybe I’d bluster and maybe I’d lie,

May God give us wisdom and lots of it,
And much compassion and plenty of grit,
So that we may be kinder to those who sit,

Screening

Screening is the process by which the client is determined
appropriate and eligible for admission to a particular treatment
program.
Intake

Intake is both an administrative, financial, and initial
assessment procedure for admission to a program.
Examples: Release forms, consent forms
Assessment
The assessment procedure identifies and

 Continuing process throughout the client’s
treatment: to determine: continued stay or
discharge status at a particular level of care.
