Integer rules
Adding same signs= find the sum and
take sign
Adding different signs= find the
difference and take the sign of the largest
number
Subtracting= change it to addition by
adding the opposite- then follow addition
rules
Multiply and divide=multiply/divide like
normal
Same signs= positive answer
Different signs- negative answer
-4 + -9=
110 + -99=

Do you know who to enter in negative
numbers and exponents?
When the music plays…get up find another desk to sit at.
This is your time to dance if you want…but do not run!
When the music stops…you must find a seat. Choose a
desk with a problem on it.
You will then have 2 minutes to work the problem on your
desk.
When the timer goes off…trade seats with the person NEXT
TO YOU.
You will then have 3 minutes to check their work. You may
use the calculator to check their work. If your partner has
the wrong answer (and you have put it in your calculator
twice) then you and our partner need to find their mistake!
Erase the desk
When you hear the music….it is time to do it again! Repeat
the first 3 steps!
