CARBON NANOTUBES IN CANCER FIGHTING
The particles themselves can
serve as means of physical
therapy, for example, by
converting external radiation
(radiofrequency,) into heat for
thermal ablation.
Nanoparticles penetrate the
cellular membrane and deploy
different, synergistic therapeutic
agents into the cytoplasm or
other subcellular targets.
THE SIZE DOES MATTER
10 000 CNT’s
hair 10-5 m
CNT 10-9 m
10 CNT’s
virus 10-8 m

RF INDUCED HYPERTHERMIA
Non-invasive RF cancer treatment is an
experimental method of cancer treatment
that employs a carbon nanoparticles with
metal and radio waves to heat and destroy
cancer cells while ignoring healthy cells.

A TASK OF THE SUBJECT:
A task of the subject is to investigate the
external RF field generator for destroying
cancer cells.
Carbon nanotubes serve as a carrier for
metal atoms (iron) that are direct RF
enhancers.
This can be done by physical modelling.
This can be done by computer simulation.

CANCER DISEASE TREATMENT METHODS
- CNTs can be connected with AmB
(Amphoreticin B) - one of the most effective
antimycotic molecules
- SWNTs with a carborane cage can be used for
boron capture therapy
- conjugation CNTs with methotrexate (MTX) - a
well known anticancer molecule
Grzegorz Raniszewski – Radio requency (RF) for cancer killing
CANCER DISEASE TREATMENT METHODS
- SWNTs with folic acid are taken up by cancer
cells which were then destroyed by a laser
wavelength of 808nm
- Carbon nanohorns can be used to encapsulate
dexamethasone and cisplatin - chemotherapy
drugs
