About the Olomouc Region (NUTS 3) – key figures and trends
Population:
642,000 inhabitants – declining since 1990
increasing ageing index, but also increasing fertility
similar in Hranice itself (NUTS4)
Unemployment rate (as of 2009):
7,6% (higher than on national level)
