The most popular individual sports played in France are the Tour De
France: the most prestigious cyclist tour, celebrated on June,
annually since 1903. The other one is the Roland Garros , the
second ATP Grand Slam tournament played in the year. The best
appearance of France in the Olympic games was in 1900 in Paris.
The most important team sports in France are football and rugby. The
French Football Federation is one of the best national football team
in the hole world. In the year 1998 the team led by Zinedine Zidane
won the world cup and in 2006 they lost final. Rugby takes a very
important role in French culture. The French national rugby team is
one of the bests, with the same amount of world cups as Engalnd.
