Environmental Statistics
• The work programme of the CSO is organized under
the following 4 subject matter divisions:
Agriculture Statistics
Economic Statistics
National Economic Accounts
Population, Social and Vital Statistics
• Divisions are supported by:
Computer Division
GIS and Mapping Section
Composing Unit, Illustration and Printing
Publication, Information and Library
Administration and Accounts
Environmental Statistics cont’d
• Not currently an on-going activity in the work
programme of the Divisions.
• Proposals for the Restructuring of the CSOTT
recommends inclusion within a new Division
Agriculture and Environment Statistics.
• The Agriculture Statistics Division intends to
assume responsibility within the current structure.
• CSO in collaboration with key stakeholders mainly
from the public sector compiled and produced a
the First Compendium of Environmental Statistics
in 2007 providing data up to 2004.

• An exercise to compile and publish a second
compendium was initiated with stakeholder
participation in 2008.
• The report was not finalised for publication.
Data in the second compendium covered the
period 2005 – 2008. This report will be edited
and finalised for publication to the website.

• The Stakeholder Committee will be
reconvened to commence compilation and
publication of the 3rd compendium of
Environmental Statistics.
• The 3rd Compendium of Environmental
Statistics is tentatively planned to be released
in the Third Quarter 2015.
