Question: Compare and
contrast a unitary
government and an
autocracy.
Check Your Answer
Government for 5
Answer:
in a unitary government, power is
centralized in one government body with many
government workers across the three branches (i.e. the
central or federal government). Unitary governments are
usually democracies (high citizen participation). An
autocracy does not deal with how power is distributed,
but rather how citizens are able to participate. Since an
autocracy is a government in which one person has all
the power, citizens are not able to participate. The
similarity is that they both have the number one in their
definition.
