The services, provided by professionals - employees of the Belgrade Chamber of
Commerce, are available to all business entities and entrepreneurs registered on the
territory of Belgrade.
Beside these services BIC is also active in promotion and application of innovation, so
it represents the right place for all the individuals, companies, scientific and research
institutions and others who have solutions or products that can contribute to business

The Union of General Entrepreneurial
Associations, or shortly, the Union of
Entrepreneurs, is an organizational form with a
long tradition in the Belgrade Chamber of
Commerce. The Union presently comprises 19
general associations from Belgrade and it shows
the continual tendency of growth.
There are over 78,000 entrepreneurs – owners of trade, hospitality, craft
and other shops, bureaus and agencies, who operate independently on
the territory of Belgrade.
In the total number of entrepreneurs in Serbia
(around 209,000 registred entrepreneurs), the

Promoting good business practices is among the most important tasks of courts of honour in the
chambers of commerce.
Courts of honour can be established at all levels of chamber of commerce system. The one in the
Belgrade Chamber of Commerce has been active since 1913. It has 56 members who are elected by
the Chamber Assembly for a four year mandate.

The Cooperative Union organizes and
In 167 villages located in thirteen of the Belgrade
presently coordinates 49 agricultural
municipalities, 80% of the total of 185 000 ha of arable land,
cooperatives, 36 crafts cooperatives and is owned by farmers.

Agricultural production in villages and in
the private sector is organized through
58 000 farming households, 51 000 of
which, apart from the crop farming,
engage in livestock breeding. Beside
supplying completely 38 city’s green
markets with fresh fruit and vegetables,
individual farms have a significant share
(about 60%) in supply of the food
processing industry on the territory of
Belgrade.
Activities of the Union of Cooperatives:
Initiating and assisting in establishment and registration of specialized or general
cooperatives
Participation in preparing the production plan for the basic crops on the Belgrade territory in
agricultural cooperatives and agricultural enterprises
Compiling inventories of agricultural products and linking the cooperatives with the food
processing industry
Assisting the cooperatives in the preparation of investment projects and business plans
Constant lobbying for drafting and improvement of the agricultural policy, especially in the
area of price parities, tax policy, etc.
Professional training and education of farmers and agricultural experts employed in
cooperatives.
