• Must meet all eligibility requirements in order to
receive the funding

Insurance 101
Travel insurance – Cover for insurable
events that may occur before or during
travel, such as:
– Trip cancellation/interruption
– Medical expenses for injury or illness
– Theft of valuables
– Baggage delay or damage
ACU’s Travel Insurance
• AIG Australia
• Free for students
• This insurance does not cover:
– Extreme sports (ie, skydiving, bungee jumps)
– Helicopter rides
– Single engine plane rides
– Pre-existing medical conditions
• Once we know your program details, you are
automatically enrolled for the insurance.
ACU’s Travel Insurance
• Policy Summary will be emailed to you once we
receive your IAFR Form

• Travel Emergency Service - not insurance.
• Free to ACU students undertaking overseas
programs.
• You must register for this service and enter your
travel details in order to receive assistance.
• Membership card/registration instructions will be
emailed to you once we receive your IAFR
Form.
