The Ford Transit Connect is an efficient vehicle for our company because of the
large cargo space, maneuverability and the fuel efficiency. Since we will be
distributing in New York, the smaller van will be a viable option for
distributing hats. A huge 18 wheeler is unnecessary since our product is
small and we wont be traveling huge distances.
Diesel gas is more expensive than gasoline on average by 30 cents. The
Transit Connect only costs 22,035$, while the less efficient Savanna Cargo
costs $3,000 more, plus the added cost of the expensive diesel fuel.
The Transit Connect is a new model so the cost of owning the vehicle is
unknown.
Future models will be equipped with Ecoboost
– Ecoboost will increase fuel efficiency by 20% and reduce greenhouse
emissions by 15%.

Solar Electric Vehicles
Solar charging system for hybrid electric vehicles increased electric
driving range and improves fuel economy
The SEV system generates energy from sunlight and converts this
energy to high voltage which is utilized to charge the supplemental
battery or Hybrid Vehicle (HV) battery pack
This allows the Hybrid Vehicle to operate for extended driving range in
the electric mode
A residential or commercial solar electrical system can join with the
SEV system
Alternative Fuel
In the solar mode, you can range up to 30 miles per day and improve your fuel
economy up to 34-60%.
The electric driving range mode can be up to 70 miles per gallon in city, under
42 MPH.
54 miles per gallon highway, over 52 MPH
62 miles per gallon combined, under 52 MPH all depending on driving habits,
speed and conditions
To install both Solar Roof & Plug-In Prius conversion - $1750
The plug-in option allows you to charge your car’s battery from a 15A, 120 VAC
garage electrical outlet at the equivalent of 75 cents a gallon
