The Mission
Design and build a
reliability windmill that
generates electricity from
ready available materials
and Increase Efficiency of
the windmill while
minimizing overall cost
and construction time.
Basic Mechanics
The generator creates alternating electricity by a series of
stationary enamel copper wiring inside a magnetic field
referred to as a Armature.
The windmill blades directly rotates a bolt which revolves a
pair of attached inverted magnets in the armature of
generator .
The magnetic field rotates around the armature. The
advantage of having a stationary armature winding is that the
generated voltage can be connected directly to the load.

Cut the ¾” thick board into 4 ½” x 7”
dimensions to serve as the base for the
windmill and generator
Cut craft wood to 2 make 2 ¾” x 6“
supports for generator and windmill
Drilled ¼ inch hole 1 ½“from the top on
through 2 ¾” x 6“rectangles and placed a
3/8“x 2 ½” bolt through the holes
Attached two large magnets on each side
of the bolt, then used smaller grinded
down magnets up against the bolt,
between the larger magnets, to brace and
fill the gaps on both sides of the bolt
Wrapped enamel covered wire around the
frame 500 times ,250 times below the bolt
and 250 times above the bolt
Screwed Fan Blade onto bolt
Calculations
Theoretical Power = 7.51 Watts
Generated Volts = 1.25
Generated Amps = 1 Amp
Actual Power = Volts * Amps
= (1.25 volts) * (1 Amp)
= 1.25 Watts
Efficiency = (Actual power / Theoretical power) * 100% = 16.6 %
