Introducing…
The Peelle Wireless Controller
Michael Ryan
Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Purpose of this Presentation
• It’s Peelle Specific
• Discuss the concept of controlling elevator
equipment wirelessly
• Introduce the Peelle Wireless Controller
Wireless
Controller

Why did Peelle develop a
Wireless Controller?
• Peelle offers products that are
designed to benefit the elevator
contractor
• This controller offers elevator
contractors a 40-50% labor
savings
• The Peelle Wireless Controller
offers something for every
contractor
The History of
Wireless Technology?
• 1896 Guglielmo Marconi develops the first wireless telegraph system
• 1927 First commercial radiotelephone service operated between Britain
and the US
• 1946 First car-based mobile telephone set up in St. Louis, using ‘pushto-talk’ technology
• 1950s Late in the decade, the first paging access control equipment
(PACE) paging systems established
• 1962 The first communication satellite, Telstar, launched into orbit
• 1992 One-millionth host connected to the Internet, with the size now
approximately doubling every year
• 1998 Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Nokia, and Toshiba announce they will join to
develop Bluetooth for wireless data

Wireless Communication
Wireless Communication provides constant
communication between all landing doors and
car door; creating a more reliable, truer,
operation.
Wireless technology offers a 40-50% labor
savings. Some markets are paying
$150.00/team hour.
Wireless Communication
• How many landing doors wires are saved?
– Previously 11
– With the Wireless Controller 2
• How car gate wires are saved?
– Previously 22
– With the Wireless Controller 14 (discrete inputs)
– With the Wireless Controller 5 if can bus is used

VVVF Drive
Variable Voltage, Variable Frequency
(VVVF) Drive utilizing the latest inverter
technology and motor protection.
VVVF changes equipment voltage and
frequency offering smooth transitions.
Closed Loop Feedback
Closed Loop Feedback uses true door
positioning (TDP) eliminating the need for limit
switches and sensors.
The doors remember their position in the event
of power failure or chain stretch over time. No
re-programming necessary, “set it and forget it”
Plug & Play
The controllers come ready for use, just
plug in the door hardware, turn
on the power and the controller is ready
for use.
This offers additional labor savings.
Self Learning Technology
Self Learning Technology determines the
acceleration and deceleration rates for each
door, creating a perfectly smooth operation.
This will improve the installation process as well
as easily return the doors to service after a
power failure.
Machine Room Less (MRL)
No need for bulky door controllers taking
up valuable Machine Room space.
This is a consultant “Hot Button”, only 1
elevator professional is needed to trouble
shoot at each landing.
Green
This wireless door system requires less
energy than traditional start / stop methods
and requires less material for installation.
Check your Specification for LEED
requirements.
Smooth Operation
Utilizing the full power of VVVF Drive and the
benefit of self learning - self adjusting
technology creates a smooth open and close
sequence.
Smooth operation is quiet and improves the
life of the equipment due to less slamming
and reduced contact of mating parts.
LCD Display
On board diagnostics
displays a live status
of all related
equipment.
Easy to trouble shoot
and field test.
What job is best suited for the Peelle
Wireless Controller?
• Any job where there are Peelle Doors
• Is the Peelle Wireless Controller available
for competitive equipment?
Yes, assuming Peelle re-motorizes the
existing equipment
When is it available?
• Peelle is in the process of numerous field
trials
• Rollout is planned for 1st Quarter 2010
• When available The Peelle Wireless
Controller will be standard
What will it cost?
• There is no up-charge for the Peelle
Wireless Controller
• The Peelle Wireless Controller will be
standard equipment
• Additionally, the more stops the more labor
savings for the elevator contractor
