Morality
► Morality
refers to people’s values, what they
view as right or wrong.
► Generally laws reflect the values that
the majority of society share and hold.
► However, sometimes laws and morals
may clash and be controversial.

include:
► Physical
Disciplining
Children
► Censorship
► Death Penalty
► Animals Rights
► Euthanasia
► Cloning
► Same Sex Marriages
► Legalization of Marijuana ► Sunday Hunting/Fishing
► Gun Control
► Pornography
► Others…?
► Abortion
Conflicting laws & morals
What if laws conflict with ones morals?
► In Canada, if you do not share these moral
values, you must still abide by the law
► BUT you do have the freedom to speak
out against it
► AND try to influence the changing of the
law.
► In Canada, laws do change!
