There are many different types of forests.
This forest is called a Temperate Forest
because it grows in a temperate zone.

Plants have special adaptations to cope.
Deciduous trees have leaves instead of pine
needles. Flowers also grow in deciduous
forests.
Animals have special adaptations to cope. Some examples include:
