The average temperature of the forest is 50 degrees F. The average rain fall is 30
to 60 inches. During the winter months water is generally not available to keep the
leaves of some plants alive. Therefore, the leaves of some plants fall off and grow
back in the spring. Those plants, like evergreens, keep their leaves during the
winter have special adaptations to stay alive.
The average temperature in temperate deciduous forests is about 75 degrees F.
but gets as high as 86 degrees F. Deciduous forests receive from 2 to 5 feet (0.51.5 m) of precipitation (both rain and snow) each year. Humidity in these forests is
high, from 60% to 80%.
Humidity in these forests is high, from 60% to 80%. Large air masses from cold and
warm areas affect the climate.
The sun shine/daylight total is roughly around eight to ten hours in the winter, in
the summer it is fourteen to sixteen hours, and spring and fall come closely to
twelve. But on average it is between ten to fourteen hours.
The weather patterns for the Temperate Deciduous Forest are snow and hail in the
winter, rain in the fall and spring, and sunny with some thunder storms in the
summer.
The Temperate Deciduous Forest wind velocity is on average ten to fifteen miles
per hour.
Through out the year the weather patterns are usually
snow in the winter or in December through February. Rain
mostly through out the year but mostly in the spring and fall,
or in April, May, September, October, and November. During
the summer it is sunny, but sometimes there are thunder
storms. In the months of June, July, and August.
These weather patterns may impact the environment and
organisms in it by having sunny summers in the months of
June, July, and August. It is also good for it to rain in the fall
and spring in the months of April, May, September, October,
and November, because in the rain they get h2o in their skin
and fur which can help them and clean them.
