• Temperate Broadleaf Forests are located all over the world,
specifically in:
Central and Eastern North America
Western and Central Europe
Eastern Asia (India, parts of China, Korea and Japan)
• Temperatures in the temperate broadleaf forest can range from being
about 95 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer to 35 degrees Fahrenheit
in the winter. So, not too bad!
• Here we have multiple log cabins available for rent, with beautiful
mountain views, such as this one right here!
• For summer it would be best to bring lighter clothes and bring a light
jacket as well, because summers can bring a lot of rain
• For winter, it would be best to bring a heavy jacket and maybe even
some snow boots, because snowfall can get heavy at times. Make
sure to dress in layers.
• There are many fun activities that provokes your love for nature:
Animal watching
Zip lining
Wild Crafting
Nature Photography
Hiking
Camping
• Plant life is very diverse in the temperate broadleaf forest. The trees
here are deciduous, meaning that they will lose their leaves in the fall.
• Some conifers are also found in this region, and these trees will not
lose their leaves in the fall, they are the "evergreens"
• Shrubs and flowering plants are mixed in on the forest floor.
• Here in the Temperate Broadleaf Forest you can see many different
animals. We have a large variety of birds that live in biome that you
can watch.
• Mammals include bears and deer all the way down to the gray-tailed
squirrel.
• We also have many insects and spiders that call this biome their
home
• Some dangerous elements of this beautiful biome are the organisms.
Black bears and red foxes roam the wild! Be careful!
• There are many venomous insects lurking in the shadows, such as:
Brown fur long-horn beetles, citrus longhorned beetle, European
spruce bark beetle.
