Turkey is a paradise for living beings. A
lot of living beings can live here for years.
Because our country’s air, water and soil
are clear and fresh.
These living beings enrich Turkey’s
biological diversity. Every year many tourists visit
Turkey in order to see our country’s eye-catching
and clean-cut nature.
Turkey has a various flora. Each plant live in different
region. That’s why, Turkey’s every region has different
beauties.
There are approximate 9000 plants in Turkey.
Generally, in Mediterranean Region, there are lemur and
in Black Sea Region, there are lots of forest.
Many kinds of animal can live in Turkey because of
this variety.
Pine tree is a conifer. There are 115 kinds of it.
Many of Turkey’ s pine trees are in Black Sea
Region. They are green in all seasons. Its leaves
don’t pour. It has a dark colored and thick bark.
There are many benefits of the pine tree as
medical.
Juniper tree has pointed, long and fragrant leaves. It
can grow up to 8-9 meter and it lives approximate 600
years. It is very good for anemia and rheumatism.
People can pulverize its feeds and later they can eat
them. Also, it contains vitamin C.
Hornbeam tree is a yellowish white and durable plant.
It has scutellated, pointed-tipped and green leaves.
There are two kinds of hornbeam trees in Turkey. This
tree grows in temperate climates.
Turkey has different animal communities. Because
animals living in north and south of Turkey stayed
there because of the climate change in Anatolia and
species richness appeared.
If you come to Turkey as a tourist, you can see lots of
bird, reptile and butterfly species.
Comma butterfly lives in very high places. You can
see it in a lot of place in Turkey. It has seeming tattered
wings and white legs and an excellent camouflage. It
flies in summer and spring month.
There are white spots under the its wings. So, it’s
called comma butterfly.
Turkish Van is a very lovable and active cat. It has a
fluffy and silky fur and long tail. This cat loves water
and swimming contrary other cats. So, it always throws
paw to the dripping water.
This cat has different colored eyes. 25 days after the
birth, kitten’s eyes starts to change. This quality makes
Turkish Van very valuable.
